7 Things to Know About the $8,000 Tax Credit

1. Did you know the $8000 tax money for first time home buyers has an EXPIRATION date??? It does!

2. Everyone will tell you that the deadline is November 30, 2009, but let's think about this for a minute....NO underwriter or financial institution is going to work through the Thanksgiving Holiday!

3. The contract needs to be closed AND funded by November 24, 1009.

4. We need to get you 'under contract' with your new home NO LATER THAN October 1st, 2009. You also need to keep in mind that we need to get our inspections of your home completed quickly, once we get it under contract, because if there are issues and we decide to cancel the contract....then we need to cancel and move on to the next property.  We need to allow time for things to not be perfect!

5.  There's going to be a MAD RUSH for homes from now thru October because people will be out trying to find their home and get it closed by the deadline.  Let's be smart and get out here now and beat the rush.

6.  FHA's current closing time is approximately 45 days.
